At Abbey school, maths is a fundamental aspect of preparing for adulthood and lifelong learning. We intend to promote a love of maths using quality resources and scaffolding experiences through personalised quality first teaching. Our spiralised curriculum builds term by term and year by year using a small step approach to embed and equip pupils with the mathematical skills and understanding to apply to the world around them. Pupils develop their knowledge and skills our linked statements.
